Modularizeed Hospitality With a View

This five-storey, 148-room hotel has two storeys of underground parking.

The rooms for this project were constructed as individual pods and lifted into place with a crane. The highly-engineered modules had a welded steel frame and arrived pre-finished with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services which were then tied in to a service shaft. The modules arrived with all decorative finishes, furniture and floor coverings installed.

Construction for this project took place on a very small site in the busy downtown core, adjacent to a working commercial harbour. Marco’s ability to coordinate with the city of St. John’s and harbour operations during the module placement and their ability to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials to the very small lay-down area ensured the project was completed without incident.
