We are proud to announce that Marco is the winner of the 2022 Canadian Construction Association Workforce Excellence Award. Established in 2019, this award recognizes CCA members and partner associations who champion diversity and inclusion in the construction industry with demonstrated results.

As an organization, we believe that innovation and productivity are enhanced when the workplace truly reflects our communities. We continuously reflect on how we operate and evolve our values and practices to cultivate a culture of respect, diversity and inclusion.

Our recruitment strategies include a commitment to hiring under-represented populations at a level equal to their global skills. At present 71% of our workforce comprises individuals from underrepresented groups not commonly engaged in the construction industry.

Marco has an Indigenous Relations Program, working in partnership with an Indigenous Relations Consultant, to foster our relationships with the Indigenous communities of Atlantic Canada. We are actively expanding our knowledge, skills and tools through progressive education and training and are committed to supporting Indigenous communities through meaningful engagement.

In addition, we have been recognized nationally for completing construction projects that have been predominantly woman-led.
