This facility is approximately 11,000 square metres and contains new offices, operations areas,  storage for 70 buses, a state-of-the-art repair garage, bus washing and maintenance areas, and exterior parking for staff and visitors. The design of the facility provides opportunities for future expansion. Exterior paved areas allow for bus circulation and parking.

This is a LEED Canada Certified facility. It features environmental initiatives that will reduce Metrobus Transit’s carbon footprint, while at the same time providing a more cost-efficient building to operate. Rain water is collected, stored, and used to wash the fleet at the end of each service day. The building’s geothermal heating system, heat recovery systems in the bus storage and repair garage areas, and its energy efficient lighting, make it one of the most energy-efficient buildings in St.John’s.
