This was the first school in Nova Scotia to be constructed using a collaborative design-build process.It was constructed to replace the existing JL Ilsley High School, which was no longer serving the needs of the community.
Marco worked collaboratively with the owner, key stakeholders, community members, end-users such as the high school principal, and the design team, to achieve a feasible design that best satisfies the needs of all parties.
The school opened to students at the beginning of the fall 2021 and the old school was demolished shortly thereafter.
