Entertainment in the Gateway to the Rockies
This significant expansion to the existing Grey Eagle Casino complex involved the construction of a 4 ½ star, 178-room hotel / conference centre, a 2 000-seat entertainment centre, and an extensive renovation to the casino itself.
Located on the Tsuu T’Ina Nation, the facility’s design was inspired by the Tsuu T’ina Nation and its relationship with nature. From the exterior saw-toothed shape of alternating solid wall and window panels to provide a viewable connection to the Tsuu T’ina lands (and to the Canadian Rockies), to the Google Earth image of the Tsuu T’ina lands weaved into the carpet found within the facility, elements of the past were incorporated into the modern world. Rich textures, bold patterns and a natural palette were used to create an atmosphere of contemporary elegance while respecting the heritage of the Tsuu T’ina Nation.
The six-storey hotel is linked to the casino by an enclosed corridor and includes amenities such as a banquet and conference centre of approximately 827 square meters, a business centre, a swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant.
The entertainment centre has a main hall of approximately 4 645 square meters, providing space for a wide variety of events including concerts, banquets, sports events, and trade shows.
Renovations to the casino included a significant expansion to the gaming facilities and the renovation of existing bars and restaurants.
