I am happy to announce that Marco has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2022.

This marks the third year we have qualified for this esteemed designation, which recognizes companies for their growth, leadership strategy, innovation, culture, and commitment.

While our industry continues to face challenges resulting from the pandemic, the Marco team has worked to serve our growing list of repeat clients as well as new clients.  We are proud to build projects that serve the communities where we work and live and look forward to breaking ground on several large projects in the coming months.

While construction is our business, we would be nothing without our people. We are proud of you and the work you have done. Never to rest on our laurels, we continue to look for improvement , in ourselves and in our culture. We remain focused on inclusivity and diversity – ensuring that our hiring practices reflect the diverse population of our communities, while maintaining our commitment to recruit and retain the industry’s leading construction professionals.

We remain committed to continuing education and encourage all team members to expand their knowledge of industry best practices. As a longtime supporter of the Gold Seal Certification program and  the commitment to excellence it signifies, we were especially happy to be awarded the 2022 Gold Seal Award at the Canadian Construction Association’s annual conference.

Last year in this announcement I discussed our investment in information technology infrastructure. In 2021, we continued to explore ways to enhance our performance and implemented significant upgrades to our internal conferencing systems. These improvements allow our people to smoothly collaborate regardless of their location and have enhanced our ability to collaborate with our clients and partners. The pandemic has forced us to find new and improved ways to work together and innovation has played a key role in this process.

While growth is important, we firmly believe that well rounded companies should also give back to the communities in which they work and live. We continue our commitment to support people, organizations and community groups that help make our society better, such as arts organizations, sports teams, social supports, and charities. We are proud to have been a founding partner for many of these groups and will continue to support them in years to come.
