We’re pleased to announce that Marco has been awarded the Harbour View Haven Long Term Care Facility project in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. This 125,542-square-foot facility will provide 144 beds to support seniors in the community, enhancing care and comfort for residents for years to come.

Owned by Lunenburg Home for Special Care (Harbour View Haven), in partnership with Grey Cardinal and designed by Nycum & Associates, the project is guided by the Department of Seniors & Long-Term Care, Nova Scotia. Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2025, with an expected completion in late 2028.

Thoughtful Design and Care Features

Every aspect of the Harbour View Haven facility is designed with residents’ well-being in mind. From high-quality ventilation and stable indoor comfort to durable, healthcare-grade materials and enhanced safety systems, the facility will ensure reliable 24/7 operations while creating a comfortable, resilient environment for both residents and staff.

Sustainability and Innovation 

The project incorporates a range of sustainable and innovative features, including high-efficiency energy-recovery ventilation, smart building controls, premium-efficiency motors with variable frequency drives, and an envelope design that minimizes thermal bridging. These systems work together to reduce energy use, enhance comfort, and deliver a healthier, more resilient environment for residents and staff.

Community Impact  

Harbour View Haven will also make a meaningful local contribution. The project will support jobs, engage regional suppliers, and strengthen the local economy throughout construction.
